Donate - We Need Your Help!

As a volunteer-run charity, the Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (AFAA) holds itself accountable to its members, the public, and all that have an interest in supporting food allergic individuals.  Donations and gifts go to AFAA's vital programs which have a history of outstanding results.

Donation Options

There are many ways to get involved and donate to AFAA. If you're ready to contribute now, use the form to the right. If not, here are some additional ways to donate:

Grassroots Giving

The sky's the limit in how you can bring people together to raise funds and raise awareness of food allergies at the same time!  AFAA can provide literature for your event and help with grass-roots publicity.  In this way AFAA members have hosted a garage sale, a birthday party fundraiser, a school "Hat Day", a scrapbooking event, a bowling party, etc.

Employer Contribution Match

An excellent way to increase your gift to AFAA is to ask your employer about a gift-matching program.  The following have gift-matching for employees and retirees:

  • 3M
  • AMC Theatres
  • BAE Systems
  • Boston Scientific/Guidant
  • Deluxe Corporation
  • Ecolab
  • Eli Lilly & Company
  • Deloitte & Touche
  • General Mills
  • Honeywell Hometown Solutions
  • Macy's
  • Medtronic
  • Merrill-Lynch
  • Microsoft
  • Motorola

  • Saint-Gobain Group
  • Securian
  • Sun Microsystems

Small Grants

Small grants from organizations, places of worship, businesses can go a long way towards supporting AFAA's work and are very welcomed!  Investigate options among the groups you know to see whether it is possible to direct funds towards AFAA's projects and programs.

In-Kind Donations

Do you have a product or service to offer?  Email AFAA to inquire on which program can best use your gift.  Some examples of in-kind donations include refreshments for the AFAA Food Allergy Awareness Walk and AFAA Camp; silent auction items for the annual Benefit Concert/Silent Auction; use of vehicles and storage areas prior to events; publicity and advertising space; etc.

Honor Someone You Love

Recognize the special ones in your life: your grandparent, your child serving in the military, a newborn, a teen reaching a milestone.  A donation in their name touches many, many hearts.

Estate and Will Planning

You can make a lasting impact through your will, living trust, and beneficiary designations on IRAs, 401(k)s, and other financial and investment instruments.  In order to include AFAA in your estate planning, use AFAA's full legal name (Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota) and EIN (05-0585572) and specify the nature of the gift (e.g. for example, cash or property).  Your bank or insurance company can also provide a form for you to name AFAA as the beneficiary of property such as a bank account, life insurance policy, or retirement plan.
